The sustainable lift group

That Motum is the sustainable lift group is both a fact and a goal. Even though our colour is green and we always strive to find solutions that benefit both people and the environment, there is still much left to do. Climate change is the great challenge of our time, and we all need to do better. That is why we, for example, almost always recommend modernisation over new installation whenever possible – it reduces environmental impact by at least 50%!

Sustainability. Motum supports Agenda 2030 and the Global Goals for Sustainable Development adopted by the UN member states in 2015. Our ambition is to become a leading player in sustainability and to drive sustainable development within the industry.

Fighting climate change is the greatest challenge of our time. At Motum, we often recommend modernising lifts instead of dismantling and installing a new one. This way, the parts that work well and are in good condition are kept, while worn-out parts or components that can be replaced with better alternatives – for example, to increase reliability and reduce energy consumption – are exchanged.
